FOGGY DAY BUS SCHEDULE INFORMATION

The decision to run buses on a foggy day schedule must be made by 5:30 a.m. so that the foggy day information can be transmitted to Valley PBS Chanel 18 and put on the phone system before 5:45 a.m. It may be clear at 5:30 a.m., but please be advised that conditions may change at anytime from clear visibility to dense fog in a matter of minutes at any location within the valley.

FOGGY DAY PLAN A: When a foggy day schedule Plan A is called, buses will run their routes 90 minutes (1 ½ hours) later than their regular morning route times. When a foggy day Plan A is called, school buses will pick-up students at their bus stops one and one half (1½) hours later than their normal pick-up time.

FOGGY DAY PLAN B: If visibility does not improve by 7:30 a.m. Plan B will be called, Plan B means that the morning buses are cancelled. When a Plan B is called the morning school buses will be cancelled.

NOTICE: On days when a foggy day schedule is called, buses will be running later in the afternoon because the school’s start and ending times may be later. School buses will transport student’s home after school on days when a foggy day schedule Plan A or B has been called. Buses transporting student’s home on days when a Plan A or B has been called, may be running and dropping off students during darkness and the visibility may be the same or less than when the foggy day schedule was called that morning.

To see what time the bus is to be expected to arrive on a Plan A schedule please check our "Foggy Day Bus Stop Time Conversion" chart for the 1-1/2 hour delay.

There are a variety of hazardous driving conditions that school bus drivers are faced with in the Lemoore area and throughout the state of California. Adverse driving conditions school bus drivers encounter when driving bus routes and trips include fog, mud, snow, ice, wind, rain, dust, road closures, road construction or heavy traffic.

At any time, Home to School and School to Home buses or extracurricular activity bus trips may be cancelled or modified because of adverse weather, unsafe roadway or driving conditions.

Be aware that some areas of the districts may be clear while other areas may have dense fog and a foggy day may be called because of the dense fog.

It is important that parents advise their students of what to do and where to go when the morning buses are cancelled or their student misses the bus.
